Rejoice Gaoses from Omaruru was able to travel to Germany to be part of the VDA-Student Exchange Program to Germany

Willem Rooi and Willem Andries, Namibian long distance athletes took part in the Two Oceans Marathon in Cape Town.  Received a donation as well as t-shirts and caps from AVRIL.

Men on the Side of the Road are an organisation which AVRIL is proud to be associated with.  They received their annual donation from AVRIL as well as the funds to purchase an apparatus to make paper bricks.  Shredded paper is used to form fire bricks which can be used as an alternative method of making a fire to keep warm and cook. 

Deirdre Carballo (Stoffberg) a previous employee of AVRIL, is the author of the book, “Journey of a Thousand Miles to Successful Living”.  The launch of the book was sponsored by AVRIL. 

Hoseanna Development Project at Walvis Bay received a boost towards the renovation of their church.
